This section provides information about LISP and the installation of associated

development software and utilities running on LINUX machines, e.g a Personal

Pomputer under Ubuntu.

Further on, this section outlines aspects concerning the interfacing between LINUX

and a LISP development environment running on a Mac mini server and a Nokia

N900 tablet.

In detail, the proposed LISP development environment for LINUX OS platforms

consists of the following:

CLISP

Common LISP implementation for Windows OS platforms

Another System Definition Facility for LISP software distribution

Emacs

A GNU Emacs implementation for Windows OS platforms

SLIME

An emacs mode for unifying Common LISP development

Xmaxima

Maxima computer algebra system deriving from MIT Macsyma

Gnuplot

Provided with XMaxima to generate 2- and 3-dimensional plots

gcc, g++

GNU C & C++ compiler with integrated source-level debugger gdb

OpenSSL

OpenSSL SSL/TLS cryptography library for LINUX OS platforms
